A Big Beach Party “Thank You!”
Although the decorations are gone and the Beach Party is over, the fun and inspiration from our incredible Beach Party Vacation Bible School will live on for a long time in the hearts of the many children and adults who participated. We just wanted to say a great big “Thank You” once again to everyone who helped in any way to make it happen. So many helping hands worked in many different capacities, and whether big or small – each contribution was greatly appreciated.
Whether you donated items to be used, helped decorate, helped clean up, provided food, played games, taught lessons, sang songs, led groups of children, pitched in behind the scenes, invited people to attend, brought your children or just showed up, thank you SO much for being a big part of the best Beach Party Marlow has ever experienced!
Thanks especially to the Children’s Committee and the church staff who worked extra hard to cover all of the details, and a huge thanks to Dawn Howard who directed the whole thing! The children were richly blessed (and are still singing the great songs), but they were also a blessing to others as they donated over 200 items to the Children’s Hospital of Oklahoma City. Thanks again to everyone for helping share God’s love in such a beautiful and fun way through Vacation Bible School!

“Surfin’ Through the Scriptures” Focus of VBS
July 14 - 17
Vacation Bible School (VBS) returns to our church, July 14, through July 17, from 9:00 to 11:30 a.m. each day, with a “Finale Celebration” planned for Thursday night at 7:00. Children four-years-old through fifth grade are invited to take part in this spiritual journey which is promised to be full of fun. The next sign-up date will be Friday, July 4th during the parade.
The lessons the children will learn are “Beach Be-Attitudes,” which include “Be Obedient,” “Be Kind,” “Be Forgiving,” “Be Bold,” and Be-lieve”. They will hear a Bible story at the “Scripture Scene” learn music at “Sound Waves,” make beach souvenirs at “Beachcomber Crofts,” run off extra energy at “Rockin’ Rec”, pick up some science in the “Surf ‘n Sand” Science lab and enjoy yummy beach snacks at the “Snack Shack”.
VBS is designed to bring children into a closer relationship with God, allow them to experience the love of Jesus as their friend and Savior, and inspire them to share their beliefs with others.
